CBRE has been appointed to a four-year professional services framework by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), reinforcing its central role in shaping the region’s ambitious transport future.

The new framework will underpin the delivery of the Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2040, which envisions “world-class connections that support long-term sustainable economic growth and access to opportunity for all.”
Estates Expertise at the Heart of Transport Transformation
CBRE’s appointment on Lot 15 covering Estates Advisory Services will see the consultancy support TfGM’s extensive infrastructure programme.
This includes strategic guidance on land assembly, development, and asset management to enable the roll-out of new and upgraded transport facilities across Greater Manchester.
The framework reflects a significant push to accelerate investment in infrastructure that delivers inclusive growth, sustainability, and improved connectivity across the region.
CBRE’s involvement builds on its long-standing relationship with TfGM, having recently led the acquisition of bus depots essential to delivering the Greater Manchester Bus Reform.
Unlocking Surplus Land to Deliver Affordable, Net-Zero Housing
A key strand of CBRE’s work will focus on helping TfGM unlock the potential of surplus land for wider regeneration.
This includes identifying opportunities to deliver thousands of truly affordable, net-zero homes that align with the region’s housing targets and low-carbon ambitions.
A Regional Economy Leading in Transport Innovation
Greater Manchester, the UK’s largest economy outside of London, is positioning itself as a national leader in integrated transport. The framework arrives at a pivotal time, as TfGM expands the Bee Network, a London-style, locally controlled transport system, and invests in the UK’s largest cycling and walking infrastructure.
Adam White, Executive Director at CBRE and lead on the TfGM appointment, commented:
“We are proud to be selected by Transport for Greater Manchester to provide Estates Advisory Services as part of this transformative framework. Greater Manchester is leading the way in delivering integrated, sustainable transport, and we look forward to working in partnership with TfGM and local authorities to unlock the full potential of their property assets.”
“Our team brings deep experience in land assembly, development, and public sector collaboration, and we are committed to supporting the region’s vision for a cleaner, greener, and more connected future.”
